The Cookbook Lady™: Books, Recipes, and More

At The Cookbook Lady™, you’ll find reviews of the cookbooks I love, some fabulous recipes, and perhaps a cat picture or two.

Who am I? First and foremost, I am a reader. My husband and I have a library of more than 5,000 books (with another 1000 or so on Kindle). I have been reading since I was 5 years old.

Second, I am a home economist. I have run websites about food, baking, and cooking since 2002. I work for the Pillsbury Company on the Pillsbury Bake-Off. And I have written 36 cookbooks in the last 15 years. (Plus Medical Ethics for Dummies, but that is another story altogether.)

And third, I am a happy eater. I have always been fascinated by how recipes work. I love to cook and bake, and I’m happiest when cooking and baking for others.

I do have very particular tastes. All of the food that comes out of my kitchen must be delicious and beautiful.  If that food has a story behind it, all the better.
